Day 2 started out early and scrumptious. We headed to Torchy’s Tacos. This establishment started out as a Food Truck that grew into a restaurant. You may think tacos in the morning may not seem delicious, but they have breakfast tacos that are delicious. We got bacon, egg, and cheese tacos. Mmm. If ever in the area, this is a reataurant I highly recommend.
Once we ate our food it was time to head out! We went to a variety of places this day!
1. The I Love Houston Sign
2. The Water Wall/Tranquility Park
4. The church Joel Osteen is a pastor for
5. The Toyota Center (Houston Rockets NBA)
Once we were done exploring the city, we headed back to go swimming, catch some rest, and charge our phones!
Then we went out to dinner to Bluewater Seafood in Spring. Amazing seafood. We have had fresh seafood when we lived in Georgia and during our travels. This seafood waa delicious. Ben and I are a sucker from crab legs. We got 2 clusters that were seasoned with cajun. So good! Highly recommend. When we were done eatimg we headed back to determine our next move. Eventually we decided to hit the bar up the road. It is called Bareback Bar and Icehouse.
At this bar, it is very open. Garage door styled doors. Lets the fresh warm air in while you drink. They have fun things to do too that include shuffleboard, pool, darts, corn hole, horseshoes, volleyball, and beer bong. Beer pong is not your typical game. They had these oversized buckets and larger balls to play! We played almost the whole night as it turned into this fun competition! There were even others coming over and playing with us. It was a blast. Unfortunately our night had to end so we could prepare to fly out the following morning.
As short as this trip was, it was nothing short of fun. I wish we would have had more time to visit Hamilton Pool, Jacob’s well, San Antonio, Austin, and Waco. Maybe next time! Until then, cya later Houston ✌🛫
